Authentic vintage German beer stein by Gerz. Clearly marked "Gerz W Germany " on the base, dating it to the Cold War era (approx. 1949-1990). Traditional salt-glaze stoneware in deep cobalt blue and natural gray tan. High Relief design features a prominent lion/gargoyle head crest surrounded by intricate scroll work and detail. It is topped with an original hinged pewter lid stamped DGM. Half liter 0.5 liters. 8.5 inches high, 4 inch base. Excellent vintage condition. The original lid has an age appropriate patina.
