Vermont at Gettysburgh - George G. Benedict (1870) ORIGINAL, NOT REPRINT

Hardcover/ no DJ. Poor to Fair condition. An ORIGINAL- NOT a modern reprint. 27 pages & 5 pg. appendix, map, frontis engraving w/ tissue protector, 3 engraved plates in text, 9 x 5.5", NOT ex library. Maroon cloth  board covers w/ gold rectangular title plate on front show rubbing, light soil, edge & corner wear. Title block on front still intact & totally legible w/ minimal wear- covers still display pretty well. Maroon spine covering missing except for 2.5" strip in middle (barely attached), cloth spine backing still present. Binding fragile but still somewhat attached to text block. Brown endpapers have full hinge split at front; back starting. Text moderately toned, a LITTLE brittle- all pages loose w/ internal spine cracks- still partially attached to stitched binding. Old light brown water stain on lower half of text- mostly noticeable on white plates & map; actually blends into toned text (hard to see) & not noticeable on binding or endpapers. NO musty smell.
