Two Floral Prints Framed, Flowers of the Month August & Nov. 11.5" x 9.5" #5051

This listing is for two framed floral prints in the classical style. They feature flower bouquets from the "Flowers of the Month" series engraved by H. Fletcher. Print for August: flower examples are striped rose, double Spanish jasmine, canary shrub fox glove and Egyptian scarlet holly hock. Print for November: includes thyme leaved myrtle, French marigold, Virginian aster and great purple crane's bill. Each flower in the bouquet has a tiny number corresponding to a written list at the bottom. Under that is a banner: "From the Collection of Rob't Furber, Gardiner at Kensington. 1730." On the back of each print is a label: "Frame made in Canada from glass and lithograph made in U.S.A." Re: the quality - prints are lithographs and not photographic prints. Frames are wood, not plastic; finished in gold leaf. Protection is glass, not cheap plastic. Condition: frames have minor gold loss; this can only be seen up close. Suitable for contemporary or classically decorated spaces.
