First Class produced some of the sweetest sounding, funky soul music that was ever laid on ears during the mid-70 's. Starting in 1973, the group released a handful of singles including a couple which achieved a modicum of chart success despite receiving only sporadic radio play outside of their main base of popularity in the Baltimore, D.C., New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia corridor. After bouncing around from label to label, the group convened in New Jersey in 1976 to finally record their first full-length album with producer/writer Tommy Keith leading the sessions. The resulting album, "Going First Class," produced some of their finest moments on wax including the infectious, mid-tempo Soul classic "Me And My Gemini" and the follow up single "This Is It" which also made a chart appearance. The Funk twinged ballad "Let's Make Love" and "Filled with Desire" are also stand-out tracks from the album. Presented here is the complete original album, a true masterpiece finally available in the digital domain. Contains five exclusive bonus tracks. All selections newly re-mastered.
