The Shure MXW6X/O=-Z10 is a boundary transmitter for the MXW neXt conferencing system that places a fully integrated, omnidirectional microphone right on the table and connects over the 1.9 GHz DECT band. It captures voices coming from every direction, so several people can speak naturally without leaning in or passing a handheld mic.
Designed for meeting rooms, lecture halls, training spaces, and hybrid classrooms, the unit sits flat on a desk or lectern and blends in without blocking sightlines. Because the microphone element is built into the housing and listens in a 360-degree circle, it works well at the center of a boardroom table or along the edge of a stage where presenters, panelists, or students need to be heard clearly.
Wireless transmission keeps cable runs off the table, while always-on AES-256 encryption protects conversations. Adjustable transmit power supports reliable links at distances up to about 160 feet, and the channel operates in the interference-resistant 1.9 GHz spectrum used by DECT devices.
The included SB906 lithium-ion battery powers the transmitter for as long as 17 hours on a single charge, so day-long sessions and back-to-back meetings stay uninterrupted. An onboard LCD shows remaining run time and room information at a glance.
Control is simple: a programmable button can toggle mute, engage push-to-talk, or switch to push-to-mute, and the same functions are available through an external room-control system. A 3.5 mm jack supplies translation feeds or cue audio to in-ear monitors, adding flexibility for multilingual conferences or stage productions.
