Wonderful, rare, vintage (1968) figurine made by Josef Originals “BABY SHOWER GIFT" from the ROMANCE series
This is a hard to find figurine and scarce series
She is illustrated on page 69 of "Josef Originals - 2nd Edition" by Harris & Whitaker (1999) with a then value of $145 to $160
Great handpainting - she has beautiful black eyes, lashes and red heart-shaped mouth wearing an elaborate very pale blue/green gown with gold lacey details and attached pink flowers, she sits regally on a stool and is tying a baby gift box on her lap with a very long white bow.
I could find no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or restoration.
The original owner noted the date and occasion that she received this as a gift. It was partially removed when I cleaned her, and can easily be removed but I thought the new owner might like to see the note.
Impressed Josef Originals on bottom.
