A beautiful bowl with gold embossed detailing, circa early 20th century, Japan. Gilded golden garlands adorn the scalloped edge. Rare design Nippon bowl features romantic Victorian roses motif hand painted gold Art Nouveau highlights throughout. Displays beautifully!! Signed on the base - Japan - circa 1911-21. With makers' mark on reverse "Nippon" and "Hand Painted".
Dimensions: 10 3/4”Diameter x 3" Height. The condition of the bowl is quite good for its age. There is a dark spot as you can see in the pictures but it appears to have been a flaw perhaps just over time something happened. It's definitely not a crack or anything like that.
Other than that it's in amazing condition with the gold intact.
I found one online for $115 but it has a couple of small cracks. So this one is a great deal and in better condition.
