rare motor cycle map of London District

My casual research has yielded no information about this antique map online. It was published by the Edinburg geographical Institute. The copyright is owned by John Bartholomew & Company. It is a scale of four English miles to an inch. And it is described as the motor cycle road map of the London District. A region called The Metropolitan Police area takes up the center one-third or so of the map surrounding London. To give a sense of scale Reading is barely visible on the left side of the page. The back of the map has a cloth of some sort attached to the paper. It looks like cheesecloth, and I imagine its purpose is to strengthen the map against repeated folding and unfolding.
