Rare Islamic Prayer Beads of Art Glass & Silk Tassel Scripted with Allah’s Names
This is a rare and vintage Muslim Prayer Beads that I acquired decades ago during my travels to Middle East.
Each glass bead has four sides. Each side of each bead is hand scripted in Arabic one of Allah’s Names.
According to Islamic tradition, Allah has 99 names, also known as Asma ul Husna, which are descriptors of His attributes and actions in the world. These names are not just titles, but also reflect a unique quality of the Creator that resonates with the human experience. In the Quran, Allah introduces Himself through these names, laying a foundation for love and understanding. The 99 Names of Allah are very important to Muslims and in Islamic tradition they are taken from different verses of the Holy Qur'an.
There are 15 beads in total. The first bead has “Allah” scripted on four sides. The remaining 14 beads has one of His names scripted on each sides.
